After years of planning, we intend to move forward this year with the construction of a new boathouse that will transform how we operate out of Rame Rd. The new shed will enable us to provide a modern training facility, store more equipment, increase our capacity and finally get some showers!
The new facility will feature:
Significantly expanded boat storage
A second level
Modern changing and amenity facilities
A dedicated space for indoor training
A kitchen and social area
Where We Stand
I'm pleased to report that we currently have $700k in committed funding and have an additional $800k in grant applications currently under consideration. Progress has been great and to ensure we can proceed in May, we're raising the remaining funds through a fundraising campaign. We feel now is the time to get this project across the line, so the club can shift its efforts towards other projects like Lake Pupuke.
